Learn
how to
get the most out of your Yamaha keyboard. Get started using your keyboard
right now! When you're ready for more, explore the many features available.
Learn about styles and voices, how to record songs,
to use the music finder, to adjust songs and styles to your
liking, to set up the keyboard just as you like -- and save your settings
for future use.
You'll
find over 4,000 midi files to download and play in your PSR. Songs
are recorded by "PSR Performers," just like yourself. Each performer has his
or her own page with a photo of the performer, a little about his/her musical
background and, of course, their performances. You'll find all the major Yamaha
arranger keyboards represented.
Here
you'll discover thousands of style files for your PSR/Tyros including original
styles from earlier Yamaha arranger keyboards plus descriptions of all of
those keyboards. Many styles are tuned for the PSRS900/PSR3000/Tyros1&2
(with Mega voices) or PSR2100/2000 and include OTS (one-touch settings). Voice,
multipad, registration files & music finder databases are also here.
Information
here is for any keyboard player, in fact, any musician. Read helpful Articles
and visit the Pro Clinic for discussions of music-related topics; study
the "Secrets of Chords and Chord Progressions"; find the "Top Songs"
for any year; learn all about Fake Books in the US and locate a fake
book that contains the song you want.
Here
are links to useful PSR internet support sites. Many provide PSR-related
files, including PC-based utilitiy programs, that you can download.
PSR-related forums provide quick and convenient answers to your PSR
questions. You can find music lessons on the internet, midi files, song lyrics,
and information from Yamaha, including manuals and model specifications.
While
there are many tutorials in the Lessons section, not all topics are covered.
But that doesn't mean you can't get help. Simply go to the PSR Tutorial
Forum, visited regularly by friendly, experienced, and talented PSR users
from around the world. Post any question and you'll soon receive an answer.
You'll find yourself regularly visiting the forum and, in time, you, too,
will be providing answers to new members!

This site is for owners of Yamaha mid- and upper-level arranger keyboards
(PSR-S900, PSR-3000, PSR-2100, PSR-2000, Tyros1, and Tyros 2.) Whether
you are a professional musician or an amateur home enthusiast, you will
find useful information in the hundreds of pages available here.
The Lessons, originally written for the PSR-2000, apply equally well to subsequent PSR and Tyros keyboards. Even Clavinova owners can benefit from the lessons and the other resources available here. Although screen shots may differ slightly among the PSR models, functionally all of these keyboards operate in much the same way. By the way, if you've never actually heard any of the top Yamaha keyboards, try the MP3s on our Arranger Artists page, or order one of the three MP3 CDs below where you will hear some great performances done on the PSRs as well as other keyboards. The What's New page is updated whenever new information is added to the site. The last 10 recent additions are shown at the top of this page in "Recent Additions" box. The PSR Tutorial is managed and maintained by Joe Waters, Sterling, Virginia ( jpwaters@gmail.com). Vsit the PSR Tutorial Member Guest Map and add your own pin to the map. |
